José Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arí Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 17thth minute of the game Laurence Snow who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Yin Feng Peng was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yin Feng Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Giardino in the 20th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zbigniew Zatorski got free with José Sá in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Alexandris in the 28th minute of play forced Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s goalkeeper Yin Feng Peng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Laerte Romero hit a great ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zbigniew Zatorski made a kick off. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Gabriel Peres was substituted for Pedro Luiz Dantas. In the 60th minute Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- were awarded a corner. Arí Furtado went to the cornerflag to take it. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Mauro Quirino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but José Sá in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- booed when tHe SOnS of rAGnar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kosmas Salaminiotis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexis Alexandris hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Laurence Snow got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ-'s Yin Feng Peng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurence Snow in the 83rd minute of play. José Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Piatek, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Walter Giardino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yin Feng Peng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Jan Piatek made a precise shot to the right of José Sá. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The Cruzeiro MZC -DMZ- players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
