Téo Maciel was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Romeu de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Mutu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo Gomes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 14 minutes into the match, Braga Junior FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romeu de Queirós came free, but Brickeen Wall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Gomes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrian Mutu in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in The Power Guido FC's zone, Adrian Mutu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Gomes came out of the goal and Adrian Mutu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, The Power Guido FC's Reynaldo Gomes got control of the ball when Adrian Mutu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute Wiliam Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brickeen Wall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Braga Junior FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. After 25 minutes Braga Junior FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carlos Augusto Meirelles who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Carlos Augusto Meirelles got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Brickeen Wall quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Reynaldo Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Maciel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Adrian Mutu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Gomes made a huge save. Reynaldo Gomes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrian Mutu went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Reynaldo Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Mutu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Romeu de Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Power Guido FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Braga Junior FC's Adrian Mutu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reynaldo Gomes. That made the score 2-1 after 46 minutes of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brickeen Wall yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. 71 minutes into the match, The Power Guido FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Mutu came free, but Reynaldo Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Adrian Mutu notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of The Power Guido FC's Reynaldo Gomes. Reynaldo Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the game, Adrian Mutu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Reynaldo Gomes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 85 minutes into the match, Braga Junior FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Fernandes came free, but Brickeen Wall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Braga Junior FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Téo Maciel hit a great ball. Adrian Mutu scored 5-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Gomes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 96 minutes, Adrian Mutu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braga Junior FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Mutu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
The Power Guido FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
