In the 4th minute of the match Saronida FC got a corner. Barbieri Sports's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Karl-Heinz Schneider ran over to the corner to take the kick. 10 minutes into the match, Karl-Heinz Schneider dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Breno Vergílio, 1-0. Breno Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jânio Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Barbieri Sports's Boruc Sokolski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Laurențiu Susara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Breno Vergílio made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Karl-Heinz Schneider sent off a good shot on target. Barbieri Sports's Breno Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Barbieri Sports from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boruc Sokolski in the 23rd minute of play forced Saronida FC's goalkeeper Laurențiu Susara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barbieri Sports's Breno Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Barbieri Sports from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute Saronida FC were awarded a corner. Karl-Heinz Schneider went to the cornerflag to take it. Saronida FC's Karl-Heinz Schneider was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Breno Vergílio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 29 minutes into the match, Boruc Sokolski notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Saronida FC's Laurențiu Susara. Laurențiu Susara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saronida FC! Saronida FC:s Laurențiu Susara showed great skill when he stopped Raphael Alvarenga:s penalty. 39 minutes into the match, Saronida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin da Mata came free, but Laurențiu Susara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Jânio Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breno Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin da Mata took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laurențiu Susara. Laurențiu Susara dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The supporters of Saronida FC booed when Barbieri Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Cascarella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Heinz Schneider fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 48th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jânio Medeiros to make the kick off. If Karl-Heinz Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Heinz Schneider, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Breno Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valerios Voutsas in the 83rd minute of the match. Breno Vergílio came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Saronida FC's Valerios Voutsas. But to his dismay, Valerios Voutsas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Breno Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelios Skountouflas, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The Saronida FC fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Saronida FC's Karl-Heinz Schneider looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stelios Skountouflas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Breno Vergílio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kostas Petriniotis went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Saronida FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barbieri Sports had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
