David Stout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pete Sampras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börje Frisk charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börje Frisk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Frisk to maneuver through the defense. Mats Wilander kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Nagel. After 15 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Harris Wijkstra. 17 minutes into the game, Mats Wilander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MAFFIAN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Decathlon Dudes the free kick. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Mats Wilander got a free kick in the 17th minute. Leon Nagel kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leon Nagel in the 24th minute of play forced MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Aron Dahlbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Dudes's Harris Wijkstra got a free kick in the 29th minute. 35 minutes into the match, MAFFIAN's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Jeuring came free, but Aron Dahlbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harris Wijkstra struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Aron Dahlbom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Decathlon Dudes. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andre Agassi made a kick off. Alfred Brandsma lost his temper 51 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The supporters of MAFFIAN booed when Decathlon Dudes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfred Brandsma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute Pete Sampras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Stout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Pete Sampras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MAFFIAN's Alf Säfström was substituted for Greger Broberg. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Pete Sampras got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd match minute, MAFFIAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Arne Skålberg to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute of the match Ralf Hoekstra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aron Dahlbom skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Börje Frisk got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Börje Frisk hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 76 played minutes Decathlon Dudes got a freekick which was hit by Harris Wijkstra. After some careless play in the Decathlon Dudes defense, Pete Sampras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Stout. The Decathlon Dudes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Stout should have stopped the shot. Harris Wijkstra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 86th minute of the match Mats Wilander completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mats Wilander a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Mats Wilander got a free kick in the 86th minute. If Andre Agassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
