After some careless play in the Nautilus defense, Bruno Steenbeck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anselmo Branco. The Nautilus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anselmo Branco should have stopped the shot. In the 22nd minute Nautilus were awarded a corner. Wesley Popken went to the cornerflag to take it. Radim Gola tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Nichlas Vesterdahl. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 22nd minute. After 27 minutes, Wiliam Carneiro made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Viorel Pintilie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nautilus's supporters rose to their feet, but Viorel Pintilie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nichlas Vesterdahl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Viorel Pintilie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Randers A.F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Pintilie came free, but Nichlas Vesterdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 52nd minute, Maciej Konieczny made a precise shot to the right of Anselmo Branco. Nautilus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 56 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Randers A.F.C.'s Rene Rostholm fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Viorel Pintilie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nichlas Vesterdahl came out and tried to block the shot, but Viorel Pintilie slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 59th minute. Viorel Pintilie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Nichlas Vesterdahl made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Maciej Konieczny hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Randers A.F.C.'s Alberto Dunixi was substituted for Zbyszko Drozdowski. Nautilus's Shi Ke Shu was substituted for Marcus Talló. Nautilus's Olívio da Silveira was substituted for Armando Furlan. Randers A.F.C.'s Terri Bulk was substituted for Bruno Steenbeck. In the 71st match minute, Randers A.F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maciej Konieczny to maneuver through the defense. Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shi Ke Shu in the 72nd minute of play. A collision led to Randers A.F.C. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Børge Buhr hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Ke Shu in the 74th minute of play forced Randers A.F.C.'s goalkeeper Nichlas Vesterdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Radim Gola fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Randers A.F.C.'s protests and gave Radim Gola a yellow card for diving instead. Radim Gola hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Nautilus's Enrique Loureiro was substituted for Emerson Teixeira. After 81 played minutes Randers A.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Radim Gola. Nichlas Vesterdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Ke Shu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randers A.F.C.'s Maciej Konieczny managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Viorel Pintilie in the 85 minute of the game. In the 87th minute Shi Ke Shu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nichlas Vesterdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nichlas Vesterdahl made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Olívio da Silveira sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Randers A.F.C.'s Nichlas Vesterdahl got control of the ball when Shi Ke Shu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Børge Buhr in the 93rd minute of the match. Nautilus's attentive Wiliam Carneiro managed to snatch the ball when Børge Buhr made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. Nautilus's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
