Curcio Carballeira ran back to his position shaking his head. 8 minutes into the game, one of FC Pražští Pepíci:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jonáš Rosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Curcio Carballeira's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Lăcătuș in the 14th minute of play forced Club Getafe Deportivo's goalkeeper Jairo Castellano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jairo Castellano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidiu Lăcătuș, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Getafe Deportivo's zone, Ovidiu Lăcătuș stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Castellano came out of the goal and Ovidiu Lăcătuș tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Getafe Deportivo's goalkeeper Jairo Castellano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37thth minute of the game Vlad Ţăranu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pražští Pepíci's Jonáš Rosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Curcio Carballeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Getafe Deportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Curcio Carballeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Curcio Carballeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonáš Rosa was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half Club Getafe Deportivo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
