After some careless play in the MDS Soccer Club defense, Óskar Aspfors kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastião Sampaio. The MDS Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastião Sampaio should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óskar Aspfors got free with Sebastião Sampaio in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Naohiro Takahara came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the ≮王者归来≯Island Sunrise fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naohiro Takahara couldn't finish the play. 16 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's goalkeeper Sebastião Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Óskar Aspfors. In the 18th minute, Cleiton Paraíba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlinhos Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óskar Aspfors got free with Sebastião Sampaio in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Óskar Aspfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
