Seating: 651, VIP seats: 56) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francesco Figueroa took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Figueroa in the 3rd minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good got control of the ball when Nicky Bryson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute Emilian Zgabei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, C. A. Emilian Zgabei's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jannes Ruttens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to C. A. Pipon Pipon getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Cristóvão Ortiz hit a great ball. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesario Irazu in the 12th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emilian Zgabei in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jannes Ruttens saved C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Figueroa came free, but Herb Good reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Pipon Pipon's zone, Emilian Zgabei stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannes Ruttens came out of the goal and Emilian Zgabei tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jannes Ruttens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilian Zgabei's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Emilian Zgabei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emilian Zgabei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronalds Koeman hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, C. A. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Du Lei Bin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 63 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Zgabei came free, but Jannes Ruttens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Collin Grimm. C. A. Pipon Pipon's A.J. Belcher was substituted for Benito Morin. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm McIntosh in the 68th minute of play. Jannes Ruttens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilian Zgabei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicky Bryson scored 2-0 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Herb Good, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Merlin Riley was substituted for Cesario Irazu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Riley in the 84th minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Jannes Ruttens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Pipon Pipon from getting a goal against them. 95 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Emilian Zgabei came free, but Jannes Ruttens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
C. A. Pipon Pipon's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
