In the 2nd minute 姚然军 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Everardo Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Guimarães came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Răzvan Spineanu. But to his dismay, Răzvan Spineanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute Răzvan Spineanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Guimarães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 姚然军, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's Răzvan Spineanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Răzvan Spineanu came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the RED BLUE STAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Spineanu couldn't finish the play. Tony Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Răzvan Spineanu in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when C. A. Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Primo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Răzvan Spineanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Guimarães. C. A. Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Răzvan Spineanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Răzvan Spineanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Guimarães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Răzvan Spineanu in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tony Guimarães saved C. A. Atlanta from getting behind. 39 minutes into the game, Federico Gil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RED BLUE STAR the free kick. In the 39th match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Gil to maneuver through the defense. Răzvan Spineanu struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Tony Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RED BLUE STAR. 48 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's Răzvan Spineanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Guimarães narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
RED BLUE STAR made a substitution. Sorin Manciu replaced Răzvan Spineanu. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sorin Manciu to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, RED BLUE STAR's Sorin Manciu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tony Guimarães. Tony Guimarães yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 59 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's Everardo Rio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karol Pierz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Rio in the 61st minute of play forced RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Karol Pierz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães got control of the ball when Sorin Manciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tony Guimarães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sorin Manciu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 67 minute of play. Sorin Manciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Tony Guimarães made a huge save. After a rather tough play, RED BLUE STAR's Ionuț Grecu got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Sorin Manciu came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the RED BLUE STAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sorin Manciu couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Primo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Tony Guimarães managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when RED BLUE STAR's Sorin Manciu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Eguzki during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for C. A. Atlanta! RED BLUE STAR's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
