Anton Hurezan's late challenge caught a F.C.BARLAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anton Hurezan helped the player get up and apologised. Anton Hurezan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Ares FC -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Plopșor came free, but Horia Hulubei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes, Cazimir Dijmărescu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. F.C.BARLAD's Sebastian Manafu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After recieving a nice pass, F.C.BARLAD's Tiberiu Pitiș tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. During the 29th minute of the match Anton Hurezan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anton Hurezan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Martin Popeneciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Hulubei having to interfere. The supporters of Ares FC -MM- booed when F.C.BARLAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Ilarie didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Virgil Turceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 48th minute Virgil Turceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Manafu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ares FC -MM- were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after F.C.BARLAD's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lucrețiu Gologan took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Lucrețiu Gologan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sebastian Manafu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The F.C.BARLAD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ares FC -MM- were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eusebiu Frățilă made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ares FC -MM-'s Cazimir Dijmărescu got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 61st minute Valentin Plopșor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horia Hulubei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horia Hulubei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Popeneciu in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Octav Ţintea made a precise shot to the right of Horia Hulubei. Ares FC -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Sebastian Manafu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Gologan in the 69th minute. Horia Hulubei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Frățilă in the 70th minute of play. When F.C.BARLAD's Eusebiu Frățilă, in the 71st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for F.C.BARLAD. Martin Popeneciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Hulubei having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Lucrețiu Gologan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ares FC -MM- and the F.C.BARLAD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Ares FC -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucrețiu Gologan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, F.C.BARLAD's Octav Ţintea got a free kick in the 81st minute. Horia Hulubei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Popeneciu in the 84th minute of play.
