An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Cordarin in the 20th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Desiderio Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardo Munio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Alvarez having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andres Millan got free with Desiderio Alvarez in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25thth minute of the game Carlos Malvin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but chacarita juniors's Epifanio Benet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as chacarita juniors's Edgard Cordarin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Desiderio Alvarez. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Epifanio Benet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Malvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, chacarita juniors's Omar Corderun got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Misael in the 38th minute of play forced Black Rose 1979's goalkeeper Desiderio Alvarez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Victor Llorian fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Black Rose 1979's supporters rose to their feet, but Placido Richie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Epifanio Benet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Black Rose 1979's Carlos Malvin pulled a muscle in his back after 61 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mateo Manny during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. For all the effort they put into the match, the Black Rose 1979 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for chacarita juniors.
