Ander Bye didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosendo Sasoin went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ander Bye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel Messi in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute La Scaloneta were awarded a corner. Damaso Belarmo went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 24th match minute, Anderbye FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wanderson Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. La Scaloneta's Damaso Belarmo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elivélton Ferraz in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adolfo Lohitzun, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in La Scaloneta's zone, Elivélton Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolfo Lohitzun came out of the goal and Elivélton Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Mello came free, but Adolfo Lohitzun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elivélton Ferraz took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Lohitzun. Adolfo Lohitzun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vicente Capixaba struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Adolfo Lohitzun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anderbye FC. La Scaloneta's Adolfo Lohitzun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save La Scaloneta from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wanderson Trevisan was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Valentin Taurino hit a great ball. In the 54th minute of the match Gilmar Pires sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adolfo Lohitzun skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Anderbye FC's Ander Bye got control of the ball when Rosendo Sasoin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ángel-Fabián Di María kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Trevisan came free, but Adolfo Lohitzun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ander Bye was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69thth minute of the game Elivélton Ferraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Scaloneta's Adolfo Lohitzun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elivélton Ferraz might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Lohitzun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elivélton Ferraz ran back to his position shaking his head. The La Scaloneta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing La Scaloneta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
