The supporters of União Sport Clube Paredes booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo Vargas in the 8th minute of play forced União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Hermenegildo Cavaco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Cerezo in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermenegildo Cavaco saved União Sport Clube Paredes from getting behind. Hermenegildo Cavaco came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Paulo Renato Souza. But to his dismay, Paulo Renato Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 21st match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo Vargas came free, but Hermenegildo Cavaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hermenegildo Cavaco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Hermenegildo Cavaco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. União Sport Clube Paredes's Hermenegildo Cavaco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Cerezo in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Agnaldo Vargas made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermenegildo Cavaco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute, Agnaldo Vargas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Diego Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Luizinho Neves replaced Juvenal Novaes. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Vladimir Braga replaced Giuseppe Lara. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Marcelinho Valle replaced Dudu Queiroz. After a rather tough play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Diego Cerezo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Paulo Renato Souza came free with the goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hermenegildo Cavaco could save by the left post. Agnaldo Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Hermenegildo Cavaco made a huge save. In the 69th minute of the match, Diego Cerezo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hermenegildo Cavaco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jardel Jardel hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Agnaldo Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th match minute, União Sport Clube Paredes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David-Macalister Beckham Jr to maneuver through the defense. Joel Lopes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hermenegildo Cavaco having to make a save. When Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Diego Cerezo in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye União Sport Clube Paredes's goalie prevented a goal. Hermenegildo Cavaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Cerezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermenegildo Cavaco was out of position in the 88 minute of play, and Diego Cerezo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Diego Cerezo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. 91 minutes into the game, Jardel Jardel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. União Sport Clube Paredes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. After 91 played minutes União Sport Clube Paredes got a freekick which was hit by Jardel Jardel. Caetano Pires hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.

Nova Iguaçu MZFC played a much better game than União Sport Clube Paredes and deserved their victory. The União Sport Clube Paredes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
