Brock Friend received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Claudio Bermudez came out and tried to block the shot, but Brock Friend slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hurricanes FC's zone, 余永川 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Bermudez came out of the goal and 余永川 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 20 minutes into the game, when Elwood Keys put in a rough tackle. When the match had been going on for 21 minutes, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Daniel Simões got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Claudio Bermudez. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's 余永川 was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Claudio Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 余永川, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, 余永川 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but 余永川 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brock Friend stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game 余永川 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hurricanes FC's Claudio Bermudez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Dagoberto Vieira got a free kick in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Josiah Ayala sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Arthur Bufi threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Josiah Ayala this time. Douglas Botelho took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Bermudez. Claudio Bermudez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Manfredo Queirós was substituted for Celsinho Castro. 80 minutes into the match, 余永川 notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Hurricanes FC's Claudio Bermudez. Claudio Bermudez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 83 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by 余永川. In the 83rd minute, 余永川 fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Hurricanes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. After 91 played minutes Hurricanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Granger. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's 余永川 got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Hurricanes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Simões came free, but Claudio Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josiah Ayala during the 98th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hurricanes FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Josiah Ayala hit a great ball. Claudio Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 余永川 in the 99th minute of play.
