Trond Bjørheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Williams Imholz in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute Espen Steelers were awarded a corner. After 12 minutes, Ingo Minder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Espen Steelers and the Dum Dum Boys Athletics players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Espen Steelers booed when Dum Dum Boys Athletics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arild Thomassen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nino Schurter in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trond Bjørheim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the game, Roman Beljean threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Adam Svenningsen quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Trond Bjørheim came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Espen Steelers's Alain Berset. But to his dismay, Alain Berset quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 30th minute Alain Berset shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trond Bjørheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Adam Svenningsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Roman Beljean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trond Bjørheim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogelio Montez in the 43rd minute of play forced Dum Dum Boys Athletics's goalkeeper Trond Bjørheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Dum Dum Boys Athletics's Fabian Honauer threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Niks Mus, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
