But to his dismay, Constantino Peter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of As Melfi 1929 booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Acosta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Cura del Futbol's Gilberto Hernandez got control of the ball when Francesco Farese tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristoforo Valerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcial Stephen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Bartolome to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, As Melfi 1929's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Bartolome came free, but Cristoforo Valerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristoforo Valerio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Stephen in the 28th minute of play. Gilberto Hernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The As Melfi 1929 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cura del Futbol were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Chelodi to strike the kick off in the second half. Cura del Futbol's Bernardo Acosta suffered a sore thigh after 53 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Francesco Farese got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 55 played minutes As Melfi 1929 got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Farese. Constantino Peter's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Cristoforo Valerio - 0-3 was put on the score board in the 56th minute. Constantino Peter succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-5. In the 87th minute, Carlos Bartolome made a precise shot to the right of Cristoforo Valerio. As Melfi 1929's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 90th match minute, As Melfi 1929 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Chelodi to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Cura del Futbol's Cristoforo Valerio threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Carlos Bartolome, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 96th minute, Cura del Futbol's Carlos Bartolome ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristoforo Valerio. Cristoforo Valerio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8.
