América-SC F.C.'s Tostão Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jaime Souza took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Baldomiro Vincente. Baldomiro Vincente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 16 minutes into the game, América-SC F.C.'s Jaime Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabi Gol in the 22nd minute of play forced Messi Dream Team's goalkeeper Baldomiro Vincente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomiro Vincente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Souza in the 23rd minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Martin Honesto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Messi Dream Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave América-SC F.C. the free kick. Severo Olando hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Baldomiro Vincente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Mineiro in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute, Jaime Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomiro Vincente was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 40th minute, Jaime Souza made a precise shot to the right of Baldomiro Vincente. Messi Dream Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. 44 minutes into the match, Messi Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Gabi Gol came free, but Baldomiro Vincente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Amado Guib could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Nestor Quirino however easily saved by the left post. 47 minutes into the match, Tostão Mineiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Baldomiro Vincente. Messi Dream Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tostão Mineiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Disappointed in the 0-9 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Baldomiro Vincente made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Tostão Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. Baldomiro Vincente was a little too slow when Jaime Souza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-11. Messi Dream Team's Baldomiro Vincente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Messi Dream Team from getting a goal against them. 63 minutes into the match, Messi Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Gabi Gol came free, but Baldomiro Vincente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomiro Vincente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, América-SC F.C.'s Gabi Gol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Baldomiro Vincente. Baldomiro Vincente yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-12. After 71 minutes of play, América-SC F.C.'s Tostão Mineiro made it 0-13 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomiro Vincente was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 73rd minute, Jaime Souza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baldomiro Vincente was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-14. 77 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Bernad came free, but Nestor Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baldomiro Vincente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Souza in the 79th minute of the match. Messi Dream Team's Baldomiro Vincente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabi Gol in the 81st minute of play. Messi Dream Team's Baldomiro Vincente proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Messi Dream Team from getting a goal against them. Martin Honesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Nestor Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baldomiro Vincente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tostão Mineiro went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-18 was the resulting score. América-SC F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
