In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Átomo F.C.'s goalkeeper Dorival Travassos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Douglas Douglas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Alexandre von Buol-Schaudenstein having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Átomo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Sun Shi Xi came free, but Dorival Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Veto Pañeda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute of the match, Albertinho Bertassi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pierre-Alexandre von Buol-Schaudenstein saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 30th minute, Sun Shi Xi made a precise shot to the right of Dorival Travassos. Átomo F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dorival Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sun Shi Xi in the 34th minute of play. C.A.River Plate's Sun Shi Xi got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Talha Özakan in the 41st minute of play forced Átomo F.C.'s goalkeeper Dorival Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorival Travassos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Talha Özakan's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. After 48 minutes, Talha Özakan made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Átomo F.C.'s Dorival Travassos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sun Shi Xi to make the kick off. A collision led to Átomo F.C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Doni Donato hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sun Shi Xi in the 54th minute of play forced Átomo F.C.'s goalkeeper Dorival Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes of play Átomo F.C.'s Doni Donato was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Doni Donato hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Albertinho Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Átomo F.C.'s Dorival Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Átomo F.C. from getting a goal against them. Dorival Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sun Shi Xi in the 63rd minute of play. When C.A.River Plate's Sun Shi Xi in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Átomo F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Sun Shi Xi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dorival Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Talha Özakan got free with Dorival Travassos in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dorival Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matai Aranzabal in the 80th minute of the match. A hard shot 83 in the game by Talha Özakan from a close distance when the talented Dorival Travassos managed to make a qualified save. Átomo F.C.'s players were relieved. 84 minutes into the game, Tostão Bastos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Átomo F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.River Plate the free kick. In the 84th minute, Tostão Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Talha Özakan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Dorival Travassos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 89 minutes of play, C.A.River Plate's Sun Shi Xi made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorival Travassos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sun Shi Xi kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
