Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josemir Lujambio in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Augusto Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Vázquez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 played minutes Zemantauskas FC got a freekick which was hit by Renato Nascimento. In the 12th minute Luis Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Vázquez in the 13th minute of play. When Atlético Argentino's Josemir Lujambio in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zemantauskas FC's goalie prevented a goal. 20 minutes into the game, Atlético Argentino's Josemir Lujambio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Raimundo Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdi Saksø, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Augusto Arósio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Vázquez went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 29 played minutes Zemantauskas FC got a freekick which was hit by William Cavalcante. 31 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Vázquez came free, but Carlos Augusto Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Atlético Argentino getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Pastor Nofre hit a great ball. Raimundo Feliu made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Ferdi Saksø sent off a good shot on target. Eugênio Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Zemantauskas FC booed when Atlético Argentino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Rojelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute of the match Zemantauskas FC got a corner. Atlético Argentino's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Humberto Terra ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josemir Lujambio in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josemir Lujambio came free, but Carlos Augusto Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Atlético Argentino made a substitution. Vitor Tejedor replaced Pastor Nofre. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Vázquez got free with Carlos Augusto Arósio in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 57 minutes into the match, Zemantauskas FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Josemir Lujambio. Carlos Augusto Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josemir Lujambio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Atlético Argentino's Josemir Lujambio managed to work through Zemantauskas FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Josemir Lujambio dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Carlos Augusto Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitor Tejedor in the 65th minute of play. Bonifacio Guib could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Arósio made a huge save. Otto Scherbaum kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. With a little luck, Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio got control of the ball when Luis Vázquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Zemantauskas FC from getting a goal against them. In the 84thth minute of the game Josemir Lujambio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zemantauskas FC's Carlos Augusto Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luis Vázquezs short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Carlos Augusto Arósio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 87th minute, Ahmet Reha Pekel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zemantauskas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 90 minutes into the match, Atlético Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdi Saksø came free, but Raimundo Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Scherbaum in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Ahmet Reha Pekel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zemantauskas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 96th minute, Josemir Lujambio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlos Augusto Arósio. The goal made the score 2-4.
