In the 5th minute Juan Urti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Solarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Hakan Ünsal had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Remigio Torres fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1989 Blxsk's protests and gave Remigio Torres a yellow card for diving instead. ZŁ Bielsko-Biała's Damazy Oryl was substituted for Hakan Ünsal. Remigio Torres hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Pankracy Solarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Urti in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in 1989 Blxsk's zone, Kazimierz Sedzikowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto Honesto came out of the goal and Kazimierz Sedzikowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Jeraldo in the 15th minute of play forced ZŁ Bielsko-Biała's goalkeeper Pankracy Solarek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Honesto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hadi İltay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kazimierz Sedzikowski hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. With his leg Eriberto Honesto managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when ZŁ Bielsko-Biała's Hadi İltay fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Hadi İltay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eriberto Honesto was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 33 minutes in the game, Hadi İltay dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 47 minutes of play 1989 Blxsk's Remigio Torres was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 48 played minutes 1989 Blxsk got a freekick which was hit by Remigio Torres. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The ball went over the crossbar instead. 59 minutes into the match, 1989 Blxsk's goal looked a bit too open when Hadi İltay came free, but Eriberto Honesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pankracy Solarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pankracy Solarek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Urti in the 72nd minute of the match. Juan Urti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Pankracy Solarek made a huge save. Pankracy Solarek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Tiniebra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, 1989 Blxsk's Candido Kemen got a free kick in the 78th minute. The supporters of ZŁ Bielsko-Biała booed when 1989 Blxsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Candido Kemen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ZŁ Bielsko-Biała's Pankracy Solarek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save ZŁ Bielsko-Biała from getting a goal against them. Roman Arlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Solarek having to interfere. After 95 played minutes 1989 Blxsk got a freekick which was hit by Juan Urti.
