Marzagão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 7 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelino Fritz came free, but Dráusio Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Mikel Señoret managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 11th minute Lolo Acharan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dráusio Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelino Fritz in the 12th minute of play. Marcos Eger took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edgardo Rondanelli. Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Marzagão defense, Lucas Mancheño kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dráusio Simão. The Marzagão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dráusio Simão should have stopped the shot. Dráusio Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Mancheño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Mancheño succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 18th playminute. Edgardo Rondanelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Santiago in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Fritz in the 26th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Dráusio Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráusio Simão came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Talcampeón FC's Lolo Acharan. But to his dismay, Lolo Acharan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Cezar Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Pedro Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Murillo do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lolo Acharan in the 52nd minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Dráusio Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Marzagão's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Javiero Charme was slow to take the kick. During this time Talcampeón FC's players had a chance to rest. Marzagão's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marzagão's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
