With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steve Triganza in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Merexildo saved PGE FC from getting behind. Rolando Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erland Slyngstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. AEK FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Bartolo Leoiar scored to the left of an out of position Kenneth Knudsen, making the score, 1-1. Gil Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kenneth Knudsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Kent Remme made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Merexildo. PGE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 35 minutes into the match, PGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Triganza came free, but Rolando Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alf Fredriksson helped the player get up and apologised. PGE FC's Lorenzo Bonifaco was substituted for Fabricio Macerio. After 61 played minutes AEK FC got a freekick which was hit by Alf Fredriksson. Sindre Westerlund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atle Solvang charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atle Solvang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Atle Solvang hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Bartolo Leoiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kenneth Knudsen. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, PGE FC's goalkeeper Rolando Merexildo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sindre Westerlund. Erland Slyngstad's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Merexildo firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kenneth Knudsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Leoiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The AEK FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AEK FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
