The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes Sportivo Desamparados's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonathan Haimar who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Javier Iraitz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Haimar in the 9th minute of play forced Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Robin Skålberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Skålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Haimar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 17 minutes, Raul Moise managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sportivo Desamparados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Moise was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, berretaweres's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Moise came free, but Sing Mano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind berretaweres's goalkeeper Sing Mano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sportivo Desamparados's Robin Skålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolás Veloso in the 28th minute of play. Robin Skålberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Javier Iraitz's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. If Gianluca Toranzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jonathan Haimar came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the berretaweres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Haimar couldn't finish the play. Nicolás Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Skålberg having to interfere. Raul Moise's late challenge caught a berretaweres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raul Moise helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Sportivo Desamparados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Moise to maneuver through the defense. The corner led berretaweres's Jonathan Haimar to fire away a dangerous shot which Robin Skålberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Iraitz to make the kick off. Jonathan Haimar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Robin Skålberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonathan Haimar slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 51st minute. In the 56th minute Javier Iraitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin Skålberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Robin Skålberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Javier Iraitz. If Raul Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Nicolás Veloso took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robin Skålberg. Robin Skålberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sportivo Desamparados's Robin Skålberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Sportivo Desamparados from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as berretaweres's Nicolás Veloso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robin Skålberg. That made the score 1-4 after 90 minutes of play. 94 minutes into the match, berretaweres's Fabricio Jago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Skålberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. berretaweres's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
