Leonel Criston could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Alex Frasca made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Alex Frasca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Bilbo. Alex Frasca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boguslaw Kaider in the 8th minute of the match. Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Rebocho got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 17 minutes of play, Ireland 1921's Herbert Banaszak made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Frasca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vinicio Etxahun charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vinicio Etxahun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd minute, one of Ireland 1921:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ireland 1921. Ireland 1921:s Generoso Gaxan showed great skill when he stopped Amado Vigário:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Kaider in the 27th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Alex Frasca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ireland 1921's Generoso Gaxan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Costa in the 29th minute of play. João Viana thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Alex Frasca, a very annoying self made goal in the 30th minute which led to 2-0. Márcio Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Frasca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Banaszak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ireland 1921 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Jordan Walker hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Costa was the one to do the kick off. Ireland 1921's Generoso Gaxan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Leiria in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Herbert Banaszak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ireland 1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herbert Banaszak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Boguslaw Kaider cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Alex Frasca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 62 minutes into the game, Ireland 1921's Isidoro Bilbo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Frasca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Garcez during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Garanhão do SUL's Eusébio Mesquita was substituted for Amado Vigário. Garanhão do SUL's Josué Ramos was substituted for Márcio Leiria. In the 69th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aloísio Garcez to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Patricio Roderigo in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Garanhão do SUL's Fábio Lobato. Leonel Criston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th minute Boguslaw Kaider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Frasca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Garanhão do SUL's corner João Viana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Generoso Gaxan quite easily take care of the ball. In the 82nd minute 孙誉剑 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Gaxan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Garanhão do SUL's Edgar Costa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Generoso Gaxan. That made the score 4-1 after 84 minutes of play. Isidoro Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Edgar Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Boguslaw Kaider came free, but Alex Frasca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Eusébio Mesquita got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Ireland 1921 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
