Eddy Stoorms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Vilela in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erling Björkdal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The throw-in from Leonardo Macena in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Invictus FC's Jordi Janssen. 15 minutes into the match, Jaime Vilela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eddy Stoorms. Invictus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jaime Vilela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 19 minutes in the game Leonardo Macena did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Jaime Vilela. Invictus FC were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after FC Dream Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ron Aelgoet took the corner. Invictus FC's Ron Aelgoet was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Erling Björkdal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eddy Stoorms came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dream Team's Jardel van Beek. But to his dismay, Jardel van Beek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 33 minutes into the game, Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erling Björkdal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Eddy Stoorms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Pegado in the 36th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sean Mallecots's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erling Björkdal was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Octaaf Van der Meiren's late challenge caught a FC Dream Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octaaf Van der Meiren helped the player get up and apologised. After 39 played minutes Invictus FC got a freekick which was hit by Octaaf Van der Meiren. Leonardo Macena made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leonardo Macena immediately put the ball in play. Emmanuel Hylen came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Erling Björkdal could save by the left post. A collision led to Invictus FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Jordi Janssen hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sean Mallecots to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dream Team's goalkeeper Erling Björkdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Erling Björkdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Mallecots, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Erling Björkdal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sean Mallecots's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Invictus FC's Eddy Stoorms proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Invictus FC from getting a goal against them. After 60 minutes of play, Invictus FC's Sean Mallecots made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erling Björkdal was left in no man's land by his defense there! 63 minutes into the match, FC Dream Team's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Mallecots came free, but Erling Björkdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Sean Mallecots shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Björkdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes FC Dream Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ron Aelgoet who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Ron Aelgoet almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Dream Team's Erling Björkdal did a great save. Eddy Stoorms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Almeida in the 75th minute of play. Invictus FC's Edgard Goossens was substituted for Octaaf Van der Meiren. FC Dream Team's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Laurentino Tavares in the 77th minute. FC Dream Team's Flávio Almeida was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eddy Stoorms in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eddy Stoorms made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jardel van Beek in the 79th minute. Sean Mallecots's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erling Björkdal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Invictus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ron Aelgoet in the 81st minute. A nice corner shot did that Ron Aelgoet got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Erling Björkdal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 84th minute Sean Mallecots shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Björkdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eddy Stoorms took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Vilela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Dream Team's goalkeeper Erling Björkdal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 95 minutes FC Dream Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ron Aelgoet who took care of the corner kick. 96 minutes into the match, Sean Mallecots notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of FC Dream Team's Erling Björkdal. Erling Björkdal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Dream Team players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Invictus FC.
