The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, MtoLokosFC's Leonel Meirelles got control of the ball when Jay-Jay Okocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gabriel-Omar Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Leonel Meirelles made a huge save. ★Independiente Ψ★'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adan Aresti in the 18th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Jairo Hotz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Leonel Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With an all-out effort, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Leonel Meirelles threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gabriel-Omar Batista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, MtoLokosFC's Dagoberto Sampaio got a free kick in the 31st minute. Leonel Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gabriel-Omar Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cássio Mineiro in the 42nd minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel-Omar Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel-Omar Batista to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Gabriel-Omar Batista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Meirelles was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Gabriel-Omar Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonel Meirelles was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 63rdth minute of the game Gabriel-Omar Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MtoLokosFC's Leonel Meirelles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonel Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 63rd minute of play. After 65 minutes, William Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MtoLokosFC and the ★Independiente Ψ★ players grew even worse after the yellow card. William Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes ★Independiente Ψ★ got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel-Omar Batista. ★Independiente Ψ★ made a substitution. Cristian Jaunti replaced Nicolas Salomon. Gabriel-Omar Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonel Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 78th minute of play forced MtoLokosFC's goalkeeper Leonel Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jay-Jay Okocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of ★Independiente Ψ★ booed when MtoLokosFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball.
