Victor Valenzuela started the match with the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Karl-Erik Bergqvist in the 3rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AIK FOTBOLL's Thamthada Zamanopoulos. The Northmen Army's Tomas Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredrik Axelsson in the 5th minute of play. Isac Sundström hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Vicco Oolo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Oskar Andreasson having to interfere. A collision led to The Northmen Army getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ulysses Baldwin hit a great ball. Tomas Vennerlund was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Fredrik Axelsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fredrik Axelsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Sven-Oskar Andreasson came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by The Northmen Army's Ulysses Baldwin. But to his dismay, Ulysses Baldwin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 24th minute Gert Haeger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Vennerlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, The Northmen Army's Jörgen Åström got a free kick in the 26th minute. 37 minutes into the match, AIK FOTBOLL's goal looked a bit too open when Vicco Oolo came free, but Sven-Oskar Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, The Northmen Army's goalkeeper Tomas Vennerlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fredrik Axelsson. Ulysses Baldwin kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

AIK FOTBOLL's Manfred Blomkvist was substituted for Victor Valenzuela. AIK FOTBOLL made a substitution. Pål Hammarström replaced Fredrik Axelsson. Tomas Vennerlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pål Hammarström in the 53rd minute of the match. 2-2 became the score in the 56th minute when Manfred Blomkvist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 64th minute Braulio Castel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Vennerlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfred Blomkvist in the 70th minute of play forced The Northmen Army's goalkeeper Tomas Vennerlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Vennerlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfred Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Nicko Kličko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thamthada Zamanopoulos got a throw-in 82 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cesare De Vecchis. Sven-Oskar Andreasson made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Nicko Kličko sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of AIK FOTBOLL booed when The Northmen Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svit Snabb didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Gert Haeger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AIK FOTBOLL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gert Haeger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Thamthada Zamanopoulos with Braulio Castel as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see AIK FOTBOLL lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
