In the 12th minute Sylwester Terasek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sylwester Terasek was slow to take the kick. During this time Sant Bartolomeu FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sant Bartolomeu FC's corner Oriol Herrero fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Carlos Lucas quite easily take care of the ball. The throw-in from Mai Chuan in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sant Bartolomeu FC's Oriol Herrero. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Abelardo Veloso got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Dalmu in the 25th minute of play forced INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goalkeeper João Carlos Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sant Bartolomeu FC's Edgard Dalmu got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Gustavo Scarpa threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sant Bartolomeu FC's Benedicto Bargas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 32nd minute, Oriol Herrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's zone, Sylwester Terasek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos Lucas came out of the goal and Sylwester Terasek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

João Carlos Lucas was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Edgard Dalmu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edgard Dalmu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 58th match minute, Sant Bartolomeu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oriol Herrero to maneuver through the defense. Sant Bartolomeu FC made a substitution. Bero Montaña replaced Sigge Sigge. A collision led to Sant Bartolomeu FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Oriol Herrero hit a great ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Edgard Dalmu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's João Carlos Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Edgard Dalmu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Carlos Lucas. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Dalmu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 72nd minute of the game Gustavo Scarpa made a throw-in which Fred Valencia played forward. 74 minutes into the match, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Terasek came free, but João Carlos Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's João Carlos Lucas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game.
