In the 16th minute, Bebeto Chaves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Pacifico was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebeto Chaves in the 31st minute of play forced Patricio Rey Futbol Club's goalkeeper Virgilio Pacifico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
