If Jurand Cempa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jurand Cempa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Ortiz having to interfere. With a little luck, VERONA FC's Dráusio Ortiz got control of the ball when Jurand Cempa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in VERONA FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Dráusio Ortiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeferson Torres's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Jeferson Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráusio Ortiz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Valle in the 33rd minute of play forced Zacisze Częstochowa's goalkeeper Miroslaw Gollob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Jurand Cempa could shoot a difficult shot in the 34th minute, which Dráusio Ortiz however easily saved by the left post. Jurand Cempas short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Dráusio Ortiz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Zacisze Częstochowa's Fabrício Coelho got a free kick in the 37th minute. The audience was convinced that Jeferson Torres's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dráusio Ortiz was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson Torres made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristo Verdu in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráusio Ortiz saved VERONA FC from getting behind. A collision led to VERONA FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Waldemar Sousa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Zacisze Częstochowa's Gonzalo Firme got a free kick in the 63rd minute. VERONA FC's Dráusio Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Cempa in the 68th minute of play. Waldemar Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waldemar Sousa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to VERONA FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. If Jurand Cempa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Jurand Cempa put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dráusio Ortiz. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Jurand Cempa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zacisze Częstochowa's supporters rose to their feet, but Jurand Cempa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dráusio Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
