With an extended leg and a bit of luck Takis Koutsos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Takis Koutsos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Trancoso in the 12th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Eulalio Bastian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Beatles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pipis Vattimos was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Mandiyu's players had a chance to rest. Enzo Bermudo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Takis Koutsos made a huge save. Takis Koutsos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhu Bin Kun in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mandiyu's Jonas Andrae got a free kick in the 31st minute. Stefano Hengemühl kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Mandiyu's zone, Reinaldo Trancoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eulalio Bastian came out of the goal and Reinaldo Trancoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eulalio Bastian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbson Simões in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute Zhu Bin Kun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Takis Koutsos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eulalio Bastian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doru Lițu in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Mikelar to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zhu Bin Kun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reinaldo Trancoso got free with Eulalio Bastian in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 52 minutes, Reinaldo Trancoso made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Deportivo Mandiyu's Eulalio Bastian tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Enzo Bermudo fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Mandiyu's protests and gave Enzo Bermudo a yellow card for diving instead. The Beatles made a substitution. Arthur Simão replaced Eusébio Lopes. In the 67th match minute, Deportivo Mandiyu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Bermudo to maneuver through the defense. Eulalio Bastian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doru Lițu, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Roberto Cherro struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Takis Koutsos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Mandiyu. Frederico Messias in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eulalio Bastian, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 92nd play minutes Zeca Brodel shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Eulalio Bastian and just under the crossbar into goal. The Beatles's Takis Koutsos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Madureira in the 95th minute of play.
