Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mugurel Pandele quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Diki Doro made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Suat Kaya sent off a good shot on target. Genk's Jannes Van Leempoel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 58th minute of play. Zhao Sen Yang took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jannes Van Leempoel. Jannes Van Leempoel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Primitivo Grau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannes Van Leempoel having to interfere. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mugurel Pandele managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tony Mampaerts in the 94 minute of the game. Zhao Sen Yang didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 95th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Zhao Sen Yang ran dejectedly back to his position.
