Jairo Dante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Nomads Football Club getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Russ Mora hit a great ball. Amadeu Lamego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bert Justens in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match, Jairo Dante tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Teofilo Amato saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Nomads Football Club's Holger Dennon got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Nomads Football Club's Teofilo Amato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Dante in the 24th minute of play. Teofilo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SAO JOANENSE FC's Amadeu Lamego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Quiroga in the 33rd minute of play. Claudio Quiroga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Lamego having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luisinho Netto got free with Teofilo Amato in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Quiroga in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Lamego saved SAO JOANENSE FC from getting behind. After the first half Nomads Football Club were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Bert Justens made the kick off in the second half. Amadeu Lamego didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Nomads Football Club's Bert Justens shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Amadeu Lamego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Nomads Football Club's Claudio Quiroga got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teofilo Amato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alessandro Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Quiroga in the 74th minute of play. Bert Justens had several of the SAO JOANENSE FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Amadeu Lamego as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bert Justens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Amadeu Lamego made a huge save. Amadeu Lamego was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bert Justens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 80 minute of play. Amadeu Lamego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bert Justens in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Nomads Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Mora to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match Nomads Football Club got a corner. SAO JOANENSE FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Holger Dennon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bert Justens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Lamego having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Bert Justens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeu Lamego. SAO JOANENSE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bert Justens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Nomads Football Club were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SAO JOANENSE FC's much stronger midfield.
