After a defensive mix-up in ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s zone, Bernardinho Cardoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mahmud Alp came out of the goal and Bernardinho Cardoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reynaldo das Neves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abubakar Kamarád showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. Chu Zhen Xun received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Reynaldo das Neves came out and tried to block the shot, but Chu Zhen Xun slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 32nd minute. In the 38th minute, Matthis Paelemans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mahmud Alp was relentless in the 54th minute of the game.
