An unexpectedly hard shot by Wally Lawson in the 34th minute of play forced GURIZADA MEDONHA's goalkeeper Ricardo Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montesclarense E.C.'s Edgard de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Sena in the 36th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Florian Patrylo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montesclarense E.C. and the GURIZADA MEDONHA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Florian Patrylo. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Montesclarense E.C.'s goalkeeper Edgard de Almeida, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulão Medeiros got free with Ricardo Fonseca in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute Oscar Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oscar Sena made a kick off. Edgard de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 吕战桦, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, GURIZADA MEDONHA's Renato Montenegro got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Álvaro Leão fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GURIZADA MEDONHA's protests and gave Álvaro Leão a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Montesclarense E.C. booed when GURIZADA MEDONHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes Montesclarense E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Ribeiro. If Renato Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Montesclarense E.C.'s Paulão Medeiros in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Oscar Sena did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Edgard de Almeida 83 minutes into the match. Ricardo Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wally Lawson in the 87th minute of the match. 吕战桦's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgard de Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Paulão Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched GURIZADA MEDONHA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
