Guillen Ubiña made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Volmar Mouritzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 8 played minutes Sporting Buceo got a freekick which was hit by Martxel Bernia. Gert Altorn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martxel Bernia in the 11th minute. With a little luck, Hønning's Gert Altorn got control of the ball when Martxel Bernia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mikael Kandil was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 12 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hønning! After a rather tough play, Sporting Buceo's Vachon Camaño got a free kick in the 14th minute. Per Nørbjerg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Torben Steenhede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Ødegaard got free with Gert Altorn in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 minutes, Volmar Mouritzen made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Buceo's Guillen Ubiña tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 36th minute, Martin Ødegaard reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gert Altorn. The goal made the score 1-2. Guillen Ubiña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volmar Mouritzen in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clementi Llamosas in the 47th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Gert Altorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Volmar Mouritzen made the kick off in the second half. Gert Altorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Favila Heras in the 51st minute of the match. Hønning's Gert Altorn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Ødegaard in the 54th minute of play. Hønning's Askild Ene quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gutierrre Valseca, made in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 69th minute of the match, Volmar Mouritzen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guillen Ubiña saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martxel Bernia in the 70th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Gert Altorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes of play, Sporting Buceo's Clementi Llamosas made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gert Altorn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 75th minute Favila Heras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Altorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gert Altorn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Ødegaard in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Ødegaard in the 89th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Gert Altorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Vachon Camaño threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hønning's Torben Steenhede quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gert Altorn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Ødegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Calleja in the 95th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Gert Altorn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hønning's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
