The istanbulls fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when istanbulls's Latif Şakir looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Fadh Waluyo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Ahmet Baki Uzsoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dewa Barus to make the kick off. Romi Mulia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Latif Şakir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romi Mulia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
