Artūrs Tiltiņš didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Harchester United's goalkeeper Benjamin Maylett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mairis Strautnieks. Agnis Kairāns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Dobson in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cliff Dobson in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agnis Kairāns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cliff Dobson in the 23rd minute of play forced FK Poolisti's goalkeeper Agnis Kairāns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Cliff Dobson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Poolisti's Agnis Kairāns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Christopher Bambrook was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Harchester United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Poolisti the free kick. Benjamin Maylett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rainers Konuševskis in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Harchester United's Benjamin Maylett got control of the ball when Nauris Pedersens tried to sneak it across the goal line. FK Poolisti's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Artūrs Tiltiņš in the 33rd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Rainers Konuševskis made the kick off in the second half. If Dane Wishart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harchester United's Dane Wishart got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agnis Kairāns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cliff Dobson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cliff Dobson in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Agnis Kairāns, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Varis Obersats's late challenge caught a Harchester United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. FK Poolisti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rainers Konuševskis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cliff Dobson had several of the FK Poolisti's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Agnis Kairāns as he didn't even see the shot coming. Agnis Kairāns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Dobson in the 88th minute of play. Artūrs Tiltiņš charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artūrs Tiltiņš the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 89 played minutes FK Poolisti got a freekick which was hit by Artūrs Tiltiņš. Dane Wishart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Dowdall in the 96th minute of play forced FK Poolisti's goalkeeper Agnis Kairāns to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calvin Davis hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Harchester United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
