Spectators: 209 (Terracing: 157, Seating: 48, VIP seats: 4) After 3 played minutes Szombathely Squirrels got a freekick which was hit by Vendel Vámosi. 6 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goal looked a bit too open when János Galambos came free, but Róbert Kormos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathely Squirrels's zone, Ferenc Némethy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbert Kormos came out of the goal and Ferenc Némethy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Miklós Sinkó got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute of the match, Márk Bakos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Róbert Kormos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pál Makai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vince Sós, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Szombathely Squirrels's Vince Sós tried to score from far away in the 18th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Szombathely Squirrels's Róbert Kormos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Szombathely Squirrels from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Róbert Kormos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Szabolcs Káposztás. 45 minutes into the match, Dunakeszi Lake City's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Sós came free, but Pál Makai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pál Makai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Károly Tolnay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Károly Tolnay made a kick off. Károly Tolnay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Lajos Domonkos notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Dunakeszi Lake City's Pál Makai. Pál Makai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Vince Sós took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pál Makai. Pál Makai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Róbert Kormos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Szabolcs Káposztás's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Pál Makai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Károly Tolnay in the 84th minute. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Vince Sós took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Pál Makai to make any attempt to save it. Róbert Kormos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from János Galambos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Vendel Vámosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pál Makai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pál Makai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vince Sós in the 95th minute of play. The Szombathely Squirrels supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Szombathely Squirrels would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
