Jagiellonia Denver's supporters rose to their feet, but Trenton Warren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when Camille Oakes came free, but Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Fotbal Club Vaslui booed when Jagiellonia Denver was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelly Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes Fotbal Club Vaslui got a freekick which was hit by Themistoklis Von Grimmelhausen. Albert Mălăele charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Mălăele the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Albert Mălăele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kelly Medeiros might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Babäk Von Bischhoffshausen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kelly Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Jagiellonia Denver players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
