After a rather tough play, ForestFire's Lamar Knapp got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hartlepool's zone, Brad Brock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Munter came out of the goal and Brad Brock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Greger Åberg kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Fabian Fager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Fabian Fager's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reed Molina was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
