The referee showed Amancio Herensuge the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amancio Herensuge kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Panait Marghescu scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luigi Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute Panait Marghescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panait Marghescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luigi Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panait Marghescu's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panait Marghescu in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luigi Buffon saved VIEDMA FC from getting behind. Amancio Herensuge was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Teofilo Veremundo charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teofilo Veremundo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to VIEDMA FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Teofilo Veremundo hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panait Marghescu in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luigi Buffon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panait Marghescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Panait Marghescu scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luigi Buffon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vinicio Liher made a kick off. Panait Marghescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luigi Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Panait Marghescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Luigi Buffon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. VIEDMA FC's Luigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panait Marghescu in the 68th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Martin Arseni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paralia Athens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Arseni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Marghescu in the 70th minute of the match. Codrin Beraru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Alonso in the 72nd minute of the match.
