Flamenco United's Bryan Clijsters got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Flamenco United's goal looked a bit too open when Juvenal Vaz came free, but Gilbert Van Meerbeec reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rob Poelman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Clijsters, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Klaas De Loose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Poelman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mijdrecht Maffia's Rob Poelman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Daems in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st play minute Juvenal Vaz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gilbert Van Meerbeec. 5-0. Gilbert Van Meerbeec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bram Wessel in the 45th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Flamenco United's goalkeeper Gilbert Van Meerbeec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bram Wessel. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tran Hauwaerts was the one to do the kick off. Bram Wessel might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilbert Van Meerbeec. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bram Wessel ran back to his position shaking his head. Agostinho Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Klaas De Loose came free, but Rob Poelman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilbert Van Meerbeec made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Vidal in the 57th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juvenal Vaz in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilbert Van Meerbeec saved Flamenco United from getting behind. In the 60th minute, Juvenal Vaz made a precise shot to the right of Gilbert Van Meerbeec. Flamenco United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 64th minute Mijdrecht Maffia were awarded a corner. Agostinho Vidal went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Agostinho Vidal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Flamenco United's Gilbert Van Meerbeec did a great save. After a rather tough play, Flamenco United's Bryan Clijsters got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th match minute, Mijdrecht Maffia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bram Wessel to maneuver through the defense. Xavier Mattheijs hit a great ball. Agostinho Vidal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilbert Van Meerbeec. Flamenco United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juvenal Vaz in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilbert Van Meerbeec prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mijdrecht Maffia had played much better football throughout.
