An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Giggs in the 2nd minute of play forced FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ondrej Fratrič showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Figo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 10th minute of the match, Ryan Giggs tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ondrej Fratrič saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ondrej Fratrič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Giggs in the 16th minute of play. With 21 minutes on the clock, Erik Telka commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Gothic Souls booed when FC Stinking Dogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Telka didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Scholes. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Stinking Dogs's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luis Figo was slow to take the kick. During this time Gothic Souls's players had a chance to rest. Ondrej Fratrič made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Figo in the 26th minute of play. FC Stinking Dogs's Viktor Semeno got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Gothic Souls getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Paul Scholes hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Scholes. Orhun İltemur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rastislav Schvarzbacher in the 37th minute of play. Gothic Souls's Orhun İltemur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Semeno in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Scholes. Ryan Giggs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Viktor Semeno made the kick off in the second half. Ondrej Fratrič took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Figo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Viktor Semeno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 played minutes FC Stinking Dogs got a freekick which was hit by Michal Vanek. After a defensive mix-up in Gothic Souls's zone, Ján Mečiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orhun İltemur came out of the goal and Ján Mečiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ondrej Fratrič took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Giggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomáš Močarník charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomáš Močarník the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Stinking Dogs's Tomáš Močarník got a free kick in the 79th minute. FC Stinking Dogs's Ondrej Fratrič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Giggs in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 98 minutes, Paul Scholes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gothic Souls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul Scholes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
