Ramon Beremundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jhonny Del Fierro in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's goalkeeper Ramon Beremundo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacinto Mino. A nice corner shot did that Ariel Austin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ramon Beremundo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 16 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Javier Bazkoare. Ovidio Sal, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Albano Salomon scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Esdras, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Mino got free with Ramon Beremundo in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The tension between the Punta Alvear and the Palermo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 41st match minute, Punta Alvear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Isadore to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jhonny Del Fierro was the one to do the kick off. Palermo's Jacinto Mino got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albano Salomon might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Esdras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albano Salomon ran back to his position shaking his head. Palermo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fabian Isadore 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Iratxo in the 62nd minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Marcos Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A well-hit corner resulted in Camilo Lizar heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Punta Alvear's Ramon Beremundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhonny Del Fierro in the 70th minute of play. Angelito Di Maria kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 74 minutes, Jhonny Del Fierro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jhonny Del Fierro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
