Nicolai Otamendi hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Villaverde Celeste Clube's zone, Dawid Majkowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Fernandez came out of the goal and Dawid Majkowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute Dagoberto Camargo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacy Piczak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Many of TS Barca Skawina's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. TS Barca Skawina may have spent more time on the ball, but Villaverde Celeste Clube were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
