After 14 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Scocco. Hammarby Gård's Sven-Oskar Dahlquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khairul Swee in the 17th minute of play. In the 21st minute Khairul Swee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Oskar Dahlquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of River CBBA booed when Hammarby Gård was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wictor Lundhberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hammarby Gård's Edmund Ahlberg got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 38 minutes, Leopoldo Luque made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hammarby Gård's Sven-Oskar Dahlquist tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Leopoldo Luque made the kick off in the second half. Sven-Oskar Dahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Luque in the 55th minute of play.
