The supporters of Red Reign booed when Universitario Pincharrata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Fidele didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Universitario Pincharrata's Celestino Guter got a free kick in the 26th minute. Oso Udoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Fidele in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Red Reign's goal looked a bit too open when Chappuis Braña came free, but Oso Udoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Red Reign getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Barros Somiedo hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes Red Reign got a freekick which was hit by Enrico Algarte. Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Oso Udoy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Xacobo Dorronsoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Reign's supporters rose to their feet, but Xacobo Dorronsoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javier Frederik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Red Reign's Walme Casas was substituted for Narciso Soporta. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xacobo Dorronsoro was the one to do the kick off. Hugo Gottardi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Oso Udoy. 1-2. The Universitario Pincharrata manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Red Reign to win.
