Francisco Madureira's late challenge caught a Albirex Niigata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Madureira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, RÖK's Francisco Madureira got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Rafinha Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RÖK's protests and gave Rafinha Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. Ramiro Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rifqi Chian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hamílton Proença fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RÖK's protests and gave Hamílton Proença a yellow card for diving instead. Hamílton Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. A collision led to Albirex Niigata FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Shukrie Devan hit a great ball. Wei Xuan Chandran hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Gerard Hoe hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Francisco Madureira was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 19th minute. RÖK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ali Ramachandran made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Marcus Castro sent off a good shot on target. Ramiro Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rifqi Chian in the 21st minute of play. Albirex Niigata FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RÖK the free kick. In the 25th match minute, Albirex Niigata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afriz Hian to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes RÖK got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Madureira. Afriz Hian kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, RÖK's Cesinha Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ali Ramachandran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Ramiro Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afriz Hian in the 42nd minute of play. RÖK's Ramiro Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rifqi Chian in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Albirex Niigata FC's Afriz Hian got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rifqi Chian made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, RÖK's goal looked a bit too open when Rifqi Chian came free, but Ramiro Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 52 played minutes RÖK got a freekick which was hit by Rafinha Schmidt. The supporters of RÖK booed when Albirex Niigata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Lum didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Gerard Hoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Ramachandran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcus Castro in the 60th minute of the match. César de Barros's late challenge caught a Albirex Niigata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 63 played minutes RÖK got a freekick which was hit by César de Barros. 67 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamílton Proença came free, but Ali Ramachandran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rifqi Chian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Rifqi Chian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albirex Niigata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rifqi Chian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Castro in the 79th minute of play forced Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Ali Ramachandran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ali Ramachandran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Marcus Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Ramachandran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RÖK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
