After some careless play in the América-SC F.C. defense, Raimundo Laurin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armandinho Medeiros. The América-SC F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armandinho Medeiros should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in América-SC F.C.'s zone, Raimundo Laurin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armandinho Medeiros came out of the goal and Raimundo Laurin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ovidio Frances's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armandinho Medeiros was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Aureliano Ofelio charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. América-SC F.C. had won after a very even match.
